This project was a freelance project where I was given a live brief from a Graduate Film Production student group, and the aim was to create a short film poster that gathered their ideas together to bring it into a visual form and create something which could be used for their film idea pitch. Being able to present the story and themes of the film in one design was the main challenge of this project. Through research into the idea of the film as well as constant feedback from the client, the visual identity was created. The final design depicts the main protagonist looking up as if he is in two minds. I chose to use this composition to emphasise the story the client wanted to tell, with the protagonist torn between still life art and the crime he had committed, which at this point was kept a mystery from the audience, not being shown in the poster and further emphasised by the silhouette design style, giving an eerie appeal.
