This project is a carry on from the freelance project, working with the Graduate Film Production students. My client cancelled the original film, and therefore I had to adapt to this abrupt change, with a complete shift in themes, story and design style. For this part of the brief I was asked to create promotional flyers for their Crowdfunder. The final design focuses on the typographic element to inform the audience about the short film. I included the social media assets that were given to me in a way that it links in with the rest of the design, allowing for an overall flow through the flyer. The overarching theme of freedom and escape is represented through the nature, archway and dandelion illustration on the back.
“From the beginning of our collaboration with Lewis, we have been incredibly impressed with his creativity, adaptability, and professionalism. Lewis responded to our brief in a timely manner, taking our notes into consideration effectively throughout the process.
His poster concept design for our initial concept “the still life dilemma” captured the essence of our project incredibly well. This directly led to a resounding response at the graduate film fayre, where Lewis’ poster assisted in garnering the film a lot of attention- with over 85 people signing up. Then, when our concept changed to “Unbound”, Lewis showed great adaptability and willing, despite the drastic departure from the initial themes. He provided many drafts for our Crowdfunder advertisements, and once again worked efficiently, quickly taking on board notes in a timely and professional manner. The communication was clear, frequent and friendly. Above all, Lewis was well humoured and patient. He earned our trust continually, as he never failed to provide exactly what we asked of him, when we asked it of him. I hope to have the pleasure of collaborating with him again.”
